Frequently Asked Questions (Rec Program)
Q: When does the season start/end
A: For 1st/2nd grade, sessions begin After November break and run until end of February
For 3rd/4th grade, practice begins mid October and runs until end of February
For all other grades, we usually run a skills assessment session in September and begin practice in October. Season runs until the end of February followed by 2 or 3 weeks of playoffs and finals
* Note, 2022 we started the season later than usual due to lack of volunteers. Season will begin after November break for all grades
Q: Do you have any programs for kids in kindergarten?
A: Unfortunately no. 1st grade is the youngest program we have in Rec.
Q: What is the Cost?
A: The cost is $120 for the entire season for Rec.
Q: When will the schedule be released
A: Schedule is determined based on gym space availability and number of volunteers.
Once we determine both, we create the schedule and release it to all players.
Q: How do I register?
A: Go to our Website https://www.fastbreakbasketball.org/ and click on "Register". Registration opens in June and closes in September.
Q: Can my daughter play on a co-ed team?
A: Yes. After you register, send an email to commissioners@fastbreakbasketball.org with your daughter's information and request to switch over to co-ed.
Q: Why do I have to volunteer if I paid for registration?
A: With the exceptions of referees, everyone involved with the program are volunteers.
The $120 registration cost goes towards referees, facilities, insurance, jerseys, equipment, etc..
If we have to pay coaches, site directors, division directors and everyone else involved, the price would be much higher.
Q: Can I be placed with a friend or sibling?
A: Siblings will be placed on the same team.
We will not honor requests for friends to be on the same team. If the parents elect to coach together then their kids will be placed on the same team.
Q: How do I cancel?
A: On our website please submit the cancellation request form. Note we only offer refunds before 10/1.
If you file a chargeback with your credit card company, you will be responsible for all chargeback fees
